China accesses to the Hague Agreement for International Registrations of Intellectual  Designs: let’s get to know more about it. 

As you already know, dear readers, we are patent experts, we are located in Germany but we act internationally. Chinese Products are very often protected also under European or German Law. The Chinese Patent Office however, is very recognized also internationally and they are welcoming interesting news:

From the 5th of May, applicants will be able to file international design applications under the Hague Agreement also in the People’s Republic of China. The Hague Agreement allows applicants to protect their designs in up to 94 countries worldwide with a single application.

In China, design patents are also referred to as “patents” (“design patents”). More information on Chinese design patents can be found in the online gazette of the Chinese Patent Office (CNIPA).
